Websites Task Force Meeting Tomorrow

The next websites task force meeting is tomorrow (Thursday) and we’re going to talk about creating a new web font, a universal tab and a common color palette. If you’re interested in these topics, or about Mozilla’s sites in general, feel free to join.

The idea behind the universal tab is to add a common element to Mozilla’s sites and provide a way to have community-wide navigation on a site in addition to site specific navigation. The mockup below shows a Mozilla tab that is closed by default and can expand when clicked.

A common color palette could be a useful resource and could help sites feel more like a part of Mozilla if there are certain colors used across many sites. Compare this to the situation today when many sites use blue, red and orange but different shades of each color.
